About Mr. Olin Born in Portland and raised in Salem, Oregon, Mr. Olin is an honors graduate from Oregon State University who earned his law degree from Willamette University College of Law in 1990. He came to the southern Oregon coast in 1990 and started the Public Defender's office in Gold Beach, Oregon, in 1993.
In 1995, Mr. Olin was appointed Curry County District Attorney by Governor Kitzhaber. He has been in private practice since 1997 and was admitted to federal practice in 1999.
Formerly a partner in the law firm of Olin & Margolis, Attorneys at Law, P.C., Mr. Olin relocated his practice to old town Brookings just off Chetco Avenue in 2007 when his law partner was elected Circut Court Judge.
