About Mr. Olin

Born in Portland and raised in Salem, Oregon, Mr. Olin is an honors graduate from Oregon State University and earned his law degree from Willamette University College of Law in 1990. He came to the Southern Oregon Coast in 1990 and started in the Public Defender's office in Gold Beach, Oregon in 1993. He was appointed Curry County District Attorney by Governor Kitzhaber in 1995.

Mr. Olin has been in private practice since 1997. Formerly a partner in the law firm of Olin & Margolis, Attorneys at Law, P.C., the relocation of the practice to downtown Brookings was made in 2007 when Jesse Margolis, Mr. Olin's law partner, was elected Circuit Court Judge for the 15th Judicial District.
